General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) May 2018:

The Friends of Littleheath Woods have established a lawful basis of Legitimate Interest and will hold and process an individuals personal information in pursuance of the Objects of the Constitution:
“The Objects of the Group shall be, in consultation with and with the approval of the London Borough of Croydon,
(a) To ensure that Littleheath Woods are maintained
(1) to promote for the benefit of the public the conservation protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment [by promoting biodiversity].
(2) to advance the education of the public in the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment.
(b) To carry out programmes of practical work, especially education, conservation and improvement work, in the Woods in fulfilment of these objects.”
Your personal information will be collected typically when you renew your membership or contact the FoLW about a Littleheath Woods issue. If you are a supplier the Friends of Littleheath Woods may contact you to obtain goods or services and our lawful basis for holding and processing your information will be that of Contract. If you are a workparty volunteer the Friends of Littleheath Woods will request your personal medical information which will be kept in hard copy and used only in the event of you having a medical emergency whilst working in the woods and our lawful basis for processing your information will be that of Vital Interest.
The Friends of Littleheath Woods respects your right to privacy. We will hold your personal information electronically and / or in hard copy format and will only use it in conjunction with our professional relationship in pursuance of the Objects of our Constitution and for the Legitimate Interest of the business of the Friends of Littleheath Woods, or Contract or Vital Interest, as above.


The Friends of Littleheath Woods will not share, sell or profile your personal data, however, under GDPR, we must disclose personal data if requested to by law enforcement agencies. You may contact our Data Controller at folwdata@gmail.com at any time to request copy of your personal information which we may hold or to request that we delete or amend your personal information from our records. There will be no charge for this Subject Access Request and we will respond within 30 days.
